Some Of My Favorites

Here are some of my favorite pictures of you so far

Sick Little Boy

The past few days you have been battling a little cold. We went to the doctor yesterday because your breathing was sounding a little wheezy to me. The doctor sent me home with a breathing treatment that we do four times a day to help with your breathing. You don't particularly like it, but it sure helps relax your little lungs.

First Trip To Oregon

About three weeks after you were born you and I flew across country to Medford, Oregon. Your uncle Phil was coming home from his mission in Fortaleza, Brazil. It was so great to be there when he came off the plane. You were such a great flier....sleeping most of the way. I carried you in your little front carrier which you loved because you could just curl up on my chest and fall asleep. It was great! Everyone loved meeting you for the first time. You met your great Grandma Merrill, your great Aunt Marian and great Uncle Chip and their kids, and your great Aunt Karen and great Uncle Larry. You also met your Grandpa Merrill for the first time as well as your Uncle Grant and of course, Uncle Phil!

Your First Month

Well, the first month of your life flew by so fast! Your Grandma Merrill was here for a week after you were born. It was so nice having her here to help. We took a few walks to the ice cream shop down the street and some outings to target. Grandma loved just laying on the couch with you on her chest. (So did I, of course....and your Dad.)
You were very alert from the moment you were born, and had great neck muscles. You were always wanting to look around and see what was going on. On your one month birthday you rolled over from your stomach to your back! What a strong little guy!
Your first bath at home. You weren't too happy about it, but you learned to love them eventually!

Your First Moments Of Life

Where to begin. Well, I went into the hospital on August 27, and was induced that morning. After 12 hours of labor you were introduced into the world on August 28, 2009 at 12:22 am, weighing in at 6 lbs. 9 ounces. Your dad and I were in love the moment we saw you. You were such a perfect baby, with a full head of dark hair (which styled into a perfect little mohawk) and beautiful features. I couldn't take my eyes off you and was so overwhelmed with how much I loved you already. By the time you were all cleaned up and I was taken care of it was about 2:30 in the morning. Your dad and I didn't get much sleep, but you slept so well.
Your Grandma Merrill was there when you were born, which was so neat to have her in the room. What a happy day it was, and I was glad that you had finally arrived and were my healthy little baby boy.
